Eldon Standardizes Floor Standing Lines Around Best-Selling MultiFlex Platform

In a major development in Eldon’s overall mission to make things easier for its customers, the firm has standardized all of the floor standing  product lines around its respected and best-selling MultiFlex enclosure line. While the application may change, the same overall platform is consistent throughout all product lines. This change brings significant benefits to Eldon’s distributors and customers alike. The shift to a modular architecture reduces product complexity, increases standardization and compatibility, meaning that just one line of accessories can be used for any standard enclosure.

“By creating different lines of enclosures based on a single MultiFlex platform, we are really making things easy for our customers. No matter the application, they are working with the same high quality modular design and the same robust line of enclosure accessories” said Ignacio Sepulveda, Product Manager, Eldon.

Because enclosure design is based on the same platform, distributors will only need to develop a knowledge base for a single platform instead of one for each separate line of products. Furthermore, they will only need to stock a single line of accessories. Similar benefits exist for OEMS, systems integrators and panel builders. The learning curve for working with new enclosures is significantly flattened and accessory ordering and installation becomes much simpler and easier.

The new MultiFlex-based lines of enclosures include the MultiCOM range, specially designed for outdoor applications and the MultiK range, a line of compact enclosures. Furthermore, starting in the first quarter of 2012, Eldon’s stainless steel range of enclosures, similar with its compact and combinable versions, will also be based on the MultiFlex platform.
