Eldon Delivers Enclosures for Self-Stabilizing Marine Platforms
Founded in 2007 as a spin-off of the Delft University of Technology, Ampelmann, a high-tech offshore company focuses on the development, construction, lease and sale of offshore access solutions. Recently, the firm decided to upgrade the marine grade electrical enclosures that provide power for its offshore self-stabilizing platforms.
The company turned to Eldon, one of the world’s leading providers of electrical enclosure for both guidance on selecting and designing the enclosures as well as enclosures themselves— which were specially designed to meet Ampelmann’s needs.
The Eldon double door enclosures, currently being used by Ampelmann all over the world, feature specially designed marine locks and an extra durable marine grade finish. Furthermore, the enclosures enable Ampelmann to save money as their custom dimensions eliminate the need for additional mounting containers.
“Amplemann’s motion compensation platform allows easy, fast and safe access from moving vessels to offshore structures, even in rough seas,” said Anton Sterk, Account Manager, Eldon. “We are extremely pleased that they are trusting mission critical functionality to Eldon’s enclosures.”
