Eldon Gets Fresh Norwegian Digs

On April 6, 2009 Eldon moved its Norwegian operation from Lørenskog to the fast-growing town of Jessheim in southern Norway. The firm’s new location features both office space and a show room where a large portion of Eldon’s line of state-of-the-art enclosures can be viewed by current and prospective customers.

The move provides Eldon AS with a show room in one of Norway’s fastest growing markets. Well located for business, the Jessheim area is already home to many of Eldon’s Norwegian customers. Furthermore, the new facility is only 10 kilometers from the Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL) and only 40 kilometers from the bustling capital city itself.

“As several of Norway’s largest electrical equipment wholesalers have either already established themselves or plan to lease significant office space in this region, Jessheim is an ideal location for us” said Knut Arnestad, Eldon’s Country Manager for Norway. “This new location means we’ll spend little time on the road to reach many of our most significant customers and of greater import, the new location now makes it even easier for our customers to visit us.”

The new Norwegian office now exclusively employs mobile phone technology, thus enabling Eldon to cut costs while maintaining its tradition of highly responsive customer service.
